School Rules

1.    Students who are Singapore citizens must sing the National Anthem and take the Pledge. Students will take the Pledge with the right fist over the heart.

2.    Students are to wear the prescribed school uniform and modification to the uniform is not allowed.

3.    Students must keep their hair short and neat.

·        For boys, the hair must not touch the collar. Boys must be clean shaven and no wearing of beard and moustache is allowed.

·        For girls who wish to keep long hair, hair must be tied up neatly with dark blue or black hair accessories.

·        No dyeing, colouring or highlighting of hair is allowed. No wearing of accessories except a simple watch.

4.    School attendance is compulsory and students must be punctual for school and all school activities. Absence from school must be covered with a Medical Certificate (MC) or a letter from the parent/guardian. Absence from school examination must be covered with a medical certificate.

5.    Students are not permitted to leave the class during lesson without the teacher’s permission. Students are not permitted to leave the school compound if they have remedial lessons, CCAs or any other enrichment programmes after the official school hours.

6.    Students are strongly discouraged from bringing personal digital devices, e.g. mobile phones, smart watches, kindle to school.

·        Use of such devices are strictly prohibited during curriculum time, recess, CCA, after school programmes (e.g. supplementary/ enrichment/ remedial lessons) and examinations. The devices must be switched off during school hours.

·        Students who bring such devices are to keep them in their school bags. Students should bear the responsibility for safekeeping of devices.

·        Students are only allowed to use personal digital devices to communicate with their parents/ guardians on urgent matters at the school gates.

·        Students are not allowed to take photographs or videos within the school compound without prior permission from the school management.

Failure to comply with the above rules and/or any inappropriate use of personal digital devices will result in the immediate removal of devices for safeguarding purposes, and parents/guardians will be notified to collect them.

7.    All students are not allowed to have in their possession any weapon. They are also not allowed to bring weapon-like item which can be used or intended to be used to cause harm to others.

8.    Every student must conduct himself/ herself in a manner that upholds the good name of the school.

·        Students must take pride in their work and hand in work on time.

·        Students must keep the school premises clean at all times.

·        Students must take good care of all school properties and must not take things which do not belong to them.

·        Students must behave themselves at all times both within and outside the school.
